Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly send scouts to check out Çaykur Rizespor goalkeeper Gokhan Akkan in the coming weeks.
As reported by Ajansspor, the Black Country club will supposedly send an official to attend Rizespor’s game with Basaksehir at the end of September.
The 24-year-old has apparently been in good form over the past couple of years and word has reached Nuno Espirito Santo.
Akkan, who has represented Turkey at all youth levels but is yet to make his senior bow, has been with Rizespor since 2015 after joining from Ankaragücü.
Akkan has made three Super Lig appearances so far this season as captain of the side.
Wolves obviously have a firmly established number one in Rui Patricio at Molineux, but it would appear Espirito Santo is keen to prepare for the future.
Deputy stopper John Ruddy will be 33 next month and the Englishman is out of contract next summer.
Akkan has three years remaining on his current deal meaning Rizespor are in a strong position ahead of any future negotiations.
He could be a good pick up by Wolves, with Patricio currently unthreatened for his place in the starting XI.
