Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly offered €40 million/£36 million for AS Monaco star Benoit Badiashile (L’Equipe).
Nuno Espirito Santo has seemingly identified the 18-year-old starlet as a means of bolstering his defensive options, but he could face competition from Manchester United.

The talented youngster made 36 appearances for the club last term and was a shining light during a poor season for the club.
Badiashile is a French U19 international, who stands at an imposing 6ft 4in tall.
Perhaps ominously, he is represented by none other than super agent Jorge Mendes, who manages a number of current Wolves players including Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
Monaco are apparently considering Wolves’ offer, but the defender’s position on the move is currently unclear – making the proposed deal ’50-50′ at the moment.
TBR’s view
Wolves pulling off such a deal would be somewhat risky.
Badiashile only has one season of top-flight football under his belt, and the Premier League is arguably a big step up from Ligue 1.

There is no doubting his potential, but Badiashile remains an inexperienced prospect.
It is a lot of money to spend, but maybe the Black Country club have been convinced enough that he is worth such an outlay.
