French newspaper L’Equipe have claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers have tabled an offer worth £13.5million for Stade Reims defender Axel Disasi, amid reports that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are interested.
Disasi, 22, has provided the defensive backbone in an excellent Reims side that defied pre-season expectations to finish the Ligue 1 campaign in sixth place. They have a chance of Europa League qualification.
According to RMC Sport, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are in the race to sign Disasi, with the France Under-20 international having entered the final 12 months of his current deal.
However, Wolves have seemingly taken the lead in a bid to sign Disasi. L’Equipe, as per GFFN, claim that Wolves have tabled a £13.5million. However, GFFN themselves claim Reims want as much as £18million for the defender.

TBR’s view – Disasi can become a gem in the Premier League
Standing at a lofty 6ft 2in, Disasi is showing all the traits required to shine as a modern centre-back in the Premier League. Pace, strength, aerial ability, a sense of leadership and comfort in possession, Disasi would shine in England.
Little surprise, then, that Reims are looking to rake in £18million for a player that is set to see his contract expire in 2021. They know how good he is and such a fee could help Reims for years. For Arsenal, Spurs and Wolves, he is a no-brainer.
