Wolves are on the cusp of allowing Patrick Cutrone leave the club on loan again, according to reports.
Diario AS reported yesterday that Javi Gracia’s side were close to signing the Italian who has pulled out of Wolves training yesterday.
Sky Italia is now suggesting a loan deal until the end of the season is in the pipeline and should be announced in due course.
It would bring to an end a tumultuous January for the Italian striker.
Wolves recalled Cutrone from a loan spell at Fiorentina earlier this month with the frontman struggling to get minutes in Florence. Cutrone was also seen as a potential cover option for Raul Jimenez, who is out of action with a fractured skull.
Wolves boss Nuno spoke of the potential for Cutrone to ‘help’ the club in this tough situation.

“We bring him with the hope that he can stay here, settle down and help us,” Nuno told the club website. “The expectation is for him to immediately integrate into the routines of the group, train and give us a hand.”
However, the loan arrival of Willian Jose from Real Sociedad made Cutrone surplus to requirements yet again this week.
The Italian striker struggled to settle at Molineux following a reported (Sky Sports) £16 million move in 2019. That was despite being highly rated by manager Nuno.
“His characteristics, he’s a fighter, and we appreciate it,” Nuno told the Express and Star in October 2019. “He’s been working very well for the team.”
Cutrone will now be hoping to finally rediscover some form in Spanish football before, surely, seeking a more permanent exit from Wolves in the summer.
