Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to complete the signing of Nigel Lonwijk, according to reports in the Netherlands.
Dutch media outlet Eindhovens Dagblad reports that Lonwijk will be leaving PSV Eindhoven to join Wolves. The young defender is leaving the PSV academy to pursue a career in England.

Lonwijk currently plays for PSV’s U19 side but he is ready to leave the club. Wolves will pay a compensation fee of €220,000, which is the equivalent of around £190,000.
The 17-year-old is described in this report as “strong” and “athletic”. He is a central defender and his older brother recently left PSV to join FC Utrecht. The teenager looks set to follow in the footsteps of Justin Lonwijk and leave PSV to join a new club.
TBR’s view
There are few details on Lonwijk so it would be tough to make a judgement on his ability at the moment. But Wolves scouts clearly feel he is a top talent for the future.
Lonwijk will probably join the academy side at first. If he can impress, then he might be eyeing a spot in Nuno Espirito Santo’s back three. He needs to show that he is good on the ball, as well as being a competent defender.
