Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to make an improved bid for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Arsenal youngster is still yet to make a final decision on his future.
Maitland-Niles looked set to be on the way out of the Emirates at one stage this summer. Another report from the Daily Mail claimed that Mikel Arteta had reluctantly accepted at one stage that Maitland-Niles needed to be sold to help fund his plans.

However, the Daily Mirror subsequently reported that Arteta had decided that Maitland-Niles was going to stay. It was suggested that he could even sign a new contract.
Unfortunately for the Arsenal fans keen to see the youngster stay, it appears that an exit could still be on the cards.

The Daily Mail reports that Wolves are preparing a fresh offer after previously seeing a £15 million bid rejected.
It is noted that Maitland-Niles’s preference would be to stay and sign a new long-term deal with the Gunners. However, that is reportedly very much dependent on whether he is going to enjoy a prominent role in Arteta’s plans.
The Mail claims that he could choose to leave if he is not going to play regularly.
TBR View: Losing Maitland-Niles would be a huge blow for Arsenal
Maitland-Niles has been outstanding in his most recent appearances for Arsenal. Given his versatility and age, it would arguably be a huge gamble to let him go.
Of course, his departure could help fund some exciting moves in the market. But Arsenal would certainly be under pressure to produce something special if he goes.
Wolves’s bid is unlikely to see the Gunners net game-changing money – presuming they make a slight improvement on the £15 million they previously offered. And he is surely going to be worth a lot more in the future.
Arteta will surely be reluctant to throw Maitland-Niles into his side just to provide assurances. But it may certainly prove worthwhile to make it clear to the academy graduate that his long-term future is at the Emirates in the coming weeks.
