Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering their options when it comes to Rafa Mir. And it looks like another loan spell could be on the cards for the young striker.

According to Spanish media outlet El Periodico de Aragon, Wolves have offered Mir out on loan to a number of clubs, including Championship side Hull City.

Last season, Mir was loaned out to second-tier Spanish side Las Palmas for the season. During that spell, he scored seven times in 30 appearances.

The 22-year-old is wanted by Las Palmas and Real Zaragoza in the Segunda Division next season. But other clubs are better placed to sign him.

La Liga side Granada – who won promotion last season – are also interested in signing Mir on loan. Wolves would prefer him to play La Liga football next season if he returns to Spain.

But the West Midlands side want Mir to test himself in England. They have offered him to several clubs, including Championship outfit Hull.

The Tigers could lose Jarrod Bowen this summer and will need to replace his goals next season. Mir could be a wildcard addition on a loan arrangement.

TBR’s view

Hull is probably the best option for Mir. Rather than sending the Spain U21 starlet back to his home country, Wolves should set him the challenge of impressing in England.

Mir has only played four senior games for Wolves since his January 2018 move from Valencia. Back then, he signed a deal until 2022 so a permanent exit is off the table for now.

However, this season might be make-or-break for Mir. If he impresses in the Championship, he could get his Wolves chance. If not, Wolves will try to get rid of him next summer.
