Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla has claimed on his official website that Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a huge £25.8million offer to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Kessie, 22, starred for AC Milan last season. He clocked up 42 appearances in all competitions last season, finding the back of the net seven times from central midfield as well as laying on three assists.
However, the Ivory Coast international is considered flexible by Milan despite his excellent campaign. It is believed Wolves have offered £23million up front for Kessie, as well as £2.8million in instalments.
It is believed such an offer is deemed acceptable by Milan, but a move is hinging on whether Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can agree personal terms with the former Atalanta star. Currently, the two parties are far apart.
Kessie is said to be earning £45,000 a week at Milan, but has informed Wolves that he wants as much as £70,000 a week if he is to move to Molineux. Wolves are said to have offered £50,000 a week.
Unless a compromise is met before the 5pm deadline on Thursday, then it looks unlikely a deal will be agreed for Kessie. But with a transfer fee agreed as per Pedulla’s report, a move is certainly possible between Milan and Wolves.
