Report: Wolves make loan bid for Renato Sanches
Wolves have made a late move to bring Renato Sanches in on loan at Molineux, according to a report from The Athletic.
It has been a difficult start to life in the Premier League for Bruno Lage. They have lost all three of their top flight fixtures 1-0.
They have been unlucky at times. And they have played some superb football in each of the games. But it does appear that they are planning to try and bolster their ranks before the deadline passes.
The Athletic reports that Wolves’ hopes of signing Sven Botman have been dealt a major blow with Lille demanding £35 million for the defender.
But it does seem that one member of the Ligue 1 side’s squad could soon be on the way to Molineux.
According to The Athletic, Wolves have made a loan bid to sign Sanches. The report notes that the offer would include an option to buy the 24-year-old.
Interestingly, The Athletic adds that Sanches is keen to join Wolves. So it would seem that Lage’s men have a genuine opportunity of bringing the Portugal international to the club.
Wolves signing Sanches on loan with option to buy could be amazing piece of business
Sanches has rebuilt his career since joining Lille from Bayern Munich. He helped the club win the league title last season.
And his age would suggest that he is only just coming into some of the best years of his career.
So agreeing a loan deal with an option to buy could be a masterstroke from Wolves.
It seems likely to be one deal that the fans will be willing over the line on Tuesday.
