Report: Wolves in pole position to land FC Porto striker
Wolverhampton Wanderers are apparently leading the chase for FC Porto striker Moussa Marega.
The Mirror have reported that Nuno Espirito Santo has made the Mali international a priority signing this summer, after he plundered 21 goals in 2018/19.
Marega has been with the Portuguese outfit since 2016 and has made 99 appearances for the club so far.
In total he has scored 45 goals and made 19 assists, making him a very dangerous forward.
A summer clearout is apparently on the cards at Porto after they narrowly missed out on the Liga NOS title to Benfica.
Marega’s release clause of £30 million could allow them to reinvest and replenish their squad ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Marega has superb physical qualities that could make him a real hit in the Premier League.
The hitman is a handful in the box and is a very good finisher in and around the area.
Wolves need more firepower in attack with Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota the only options to play right up top at the moment.
The Black Country club – who sent scouts to watch him against Sporting CP – will need to move swiftly though, as The Mirror report Leicester City and West Ham United are also interested.
