Wolverhampton Wanderers are hoping to win the £10m race for Liverpool winger Rafael Camacho, according to The Express and Star.

Camacho is unsettled at Liverpool and will be hoping to leave. And Wolves want to lure him to Molineux with a long-term contract offer.

The Portugal youth international could join the growing Portuguese contingent at Wolves. With Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm and a host of Portuguese players and members of staff, this could be an environment which appeals to Camacho.

Formerly of Sporting CP and Manchester City, Camacho joined Liverpool in 2016. After coming through the ranks, he made his first-team debut in January 2019.

This came in an FA Cup game against Wolves, which Nuno’s side won 2-1. Camacho played at right-back that day but has made no secret of his desire to remain as a winger.

Camacho might be on his way out of Liverpool after just two senior appearances. The 19-year-old will not be cheap, though, with a £10m transfer fee touted.

The talented teenager has impressed at youth level for the Reds, scoring eight times in 14 U23 games last season. But Wolves will have to splash an eight-figure bid on Camacho.

With other clubs circling, Wolves might need to act quickly to finalise this Camacho deal.
