Wolverhampton Wanderers are hoping to beat Manchester United to the signature of Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (12/1; page 63).
Bellingham is unquestionably one of the most exciting prospects in the Championship. The 16-year-old is already standing out on a regular basis for Pep Clotet’s side.

He has scored three goals in 23 league games for the Blues. And unsurprisingly, he is reportedly attracting some high-profile attention this month.
The Sun on Sunday (12/1; page 63) reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have been joined in the race for his signature by Wolves.

It is suggested that United are considering making a bid, while Nuno Espirito Santo’s men hope to get in ahead with an offer for the teenager.
The report notes that tempting Bellingham away may not be easy due to the admirers he has.
TBR View – Wolves looks an attractive option for Bellingham
Bellingham may be reluctant to make a move. But a switch to Molineux could arguably prove to be a very good one for the youngster.
Nuno’s men are competing in Europe. And they look to also have a good chance of booking their place in next season’s Europa League. Wolves sit seventh in the Premier League and are only three points off Manchester United right now.
Nuno has also tended to work with a smaller squad during his time in England. While that may make things initially tricky for Bellingham as he looks to break into the side, that should ensure that he ultimately finds it easier to cement a place in the team.
You could certainly understand why Bellingham may prefer to stay put for the time-being. But if he does decide that he wants to move on, a switch to Molineux could arguably be a very good choice for his career.
