Wolves could rival Manchester City for Antonee Robinson, with The Sun on Sunday (11/7; page 61) reporting that Bruno Lage’s men may make a move if he is available for £10 million.

Robinson is attracting plenty of interest after Fulham’s year in the Premier League. He made 28 appearances as the Cottagers put up a decent fight in trying to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Surprise reports emerged last month that the Cityzens want Robinson. It was claimed that Pep Guardiola saw the USA international as someone to bring in to improve the depth of the squad.

But City may not have a clear run to his signature.

According to The Sun on Sunday (11/7; page 61), Wolves are also keen. It is noted that they also view Robinson as someone who can provide cover.

The report claims that they will make a bid if he becomes available for £10 million.

Antonee Robinson could be shrewd addition for Wolves with Jonny sidelined

Wolves made Rayan Ait-Nouri’s move permanent this week. But it does appear that they still require further depth on the left.

Unfortunately, Jonny is now set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.

Robinson is someone who can play at left-back, or slightly further up the pitch. So he would offer plenty of versatility.

He would also not cost a huge amount. The interest from Manchester City also helps highlight the potential the 23-year-old boasts.

So it could prove to be a shrewd piece of business should Wolves make their move.
