Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Ruben Vinagre is set for a return to home with a loan move to Famalicao reportedly set to be concluded.
That is according to a report from O Jogo this week. They claim that Vinagre was all set for a loan switch to Braga this month until negotiations between the Portuguese club and Wolves collapsed at the final hurdle.
Instead, he is set to join their rivals Famalicao, where he will partner up with fellow Molineux loanee Bruno Jordao.
The left-back was loaned out to Olympiakos at the start of the season after Wolves snapped up promising French wing-back Rayan Ait Nouri from Angers. He was supposed to act as a replacement for the Liverpool bound Kostas Tsimikas.

However, the 21-year-old failed to cement a regular starting place in the Greek side’s starting XI and a fresh start is considered necessary in 2021.
The deal that saw Vinagre head to Greece reportedly (Express and Star) included a £22.5 million buying option. There is no word on whether this deal would contain similar but it seems unlikely given Famalicao’s financial status.
Nuno Espírito Santo called Vinagre ‘special’ in March last year as he commented on the talent the Portuguese youngster possesses, as reported by the Express and Star.
However, it seems that Wolves simply have no use for Vinagre at this moment in time.
Hopefully, he can shine in his new loan location and remind Nuno just what is so special about his capabilities.
