Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on Lazio defender Wallace, according to Il Messaggero.
The Black Country club are in need of defensive reinforcements ahead of what could be a gruelling season in 2019/20, and it looks as though the Brazilian could be pitching up at Molineux.

The 24-year-old – who Wolves fans will be unsurprised to learn is another client of super-agent Jorge Mendes – made just 20 appearances in all competitions last term
He has been deemed surplus to requirements and could cost as little as €6 million/£5.4 million.
Apparently Wolves are attempting to seal a loan move for the South American first, which would cost around €1 million/£900,000.
TBR’s view
Having missed out on Ezri Konsa and with Edson Alvarez looking set for Ajax, it is important for Wolves to get someone in with time quickly running out.

The 6ft 3in ace did not have the best of seasons in 2018/19, but would represent a relatively risk-free move for the club with the figures that have been mentioned.
He may not be an upgrade on any of Wolves current options at centre-half, but he could potentially provide some much-needed cover with the club looking at a long campaign if they reach the Europa League group stages.
