Italian outlet TuttoJuve have claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are keeping tabs on Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey and could sign the Welshman for as cheap as £8.75million – ahead of the summer window.

Ramsey, 30, left Arsenal on a free transfer to join Juventus in the summer of 2019 after having a hand in 130 goals during his 371 appearances for The Gunners. At Juve, he is one of the club’s highest earners, with some reports saying he is on £400,000 a week.

However, he has struggled with the Old Lady. Ramsey has played 55 times but had a hand in just 10 goals – and this season has only completed 90 minutes once in 20 outings under Andrea Pirlo. Juve are open to his exit in the summer.

Wolves are keen and are monitoring his situation ahead of the summer window. Reports claim he could be sold by Juve for a fee between £8.75million and £13.5million – a bargain for a player that will only turn 31 in December, and has played 262 times in the Premier League.

TBR’s view – Ramsey would be a sensational Wolves signing

Certainly, Wolves need a midfielder. Without Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves, they lose a proper chunk of quality in the middle of the park – and Moutinho turns 35 in September. A central midfielder with proper quality is required at Wolves.

The 60-time Wales international also needs to return to the Premier League. Italy does not suit him and while he is well-paid, he needs to get the best out the next five to eight years of his career. Wolves could be perfect for Ramsey.
