William Saliba expects and wants to be playing for Arsenal next season despite not yet getting the chance to make his debut for the Gunners, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Saliba’s situation at the Emirates has baffled so many supporters. He signed for the club in 2019, spending the following season back on loan with Saint-Etienne.

However, after playing no part in the first-team fold during the second-half of 2020, Saliba then returned to France with Nice in January of this year.
And he was sent for a third loan spell ahead of this campaign, with Marseille securing his signature.
Saliba has been superb during his time at State Velodrome. Certainly, it seems to have become a common occurrence for Arsenal fans to rave about the centre-back’s performance on social media after he has featured for Jorge Sampaoli’s side.
Based on this season, it seems a no-brainer for Mikel Arteta to use him upon his return.

However, few Arsenal fans will be taking anything for granted. There have been false dawns in the past.
The good news for the Gunners is that Saliba does not appear to have lost his appetite to play for Arsenal.
According to The Telegraph, the defender is about to start a new course of English lessons to improve his grasp of the language further.
And the report claims that he expects and has a desire to play for Arsenal next season. He also remains in contact with some of his Gunners teammates.
Saliba could huge asset to Arsenal if Arteta gives him a chance
Arteta appears to have stumbled upon a hugely impressive partnership this season. Benjamin White and Gabriel Magalhaes have been outstanding together.
But there is no reason why Saliba cannot provide competition for the pair. It is frightening to see how well he is playing at 20 years of age.
Arteta has received a lot of plaudits of late. But he is surely asking for trouble if he does not give Saliba a chance upon his return.
