Report: When West Brom fans can expect Kean Bryan announcement
West Brom are closing in on the signing of Kean Bryan, according to the Express & Star.
The Baggies were left reeling after Dara O’Shea suffered an injury on international duty.
The 22-year-old injured his ankle whilst playing for the Republic of Ireland against Portugal last Wednesday.
O’Shea underwent a scan in Dublin following the World Cup qualifier before then returning to Albion.
The Express & Star claimed reports have emerged suggesting the Irishman could be out for four months.
In addition, Matt Clarke injured his hamstring in the win at Blackburn and is expected to be sidelined for another four weeks.
West Brom have moved fast to bring in a left-footer to cover in defence and it looks as though Kean Bryan will be that man.
According to the Express & Star, the defender had a medical with Albion today, with his signing likely to be confirmed tomorrow.
Joseph Masi also took to Twitter on Monday evening to claim an announcement is likely in the next 24 hours.
The 24-year-old left Sheffield United after three seasons this summer, having failed to agree fresh terms.
Bryan joined the Blades in 2018 on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City’s academy.
He made 19 appearances for the Bramall Lane outfit, including 13 in the Premier League.
Bryan famously opened the scoring against Manchester United en route to a 2-1 win at Old Trafford last January.
