Jannik Vestergaard has told his Southampton teammates that he expects to leave the club after Leicester City agreed a deal for the Dane, according to The Telegraph.
The Foxes have targeted the 29-year-old following the injury sustained by Wesley Fofana in their pre-season friendly with Villarreal.

They have acted swiftly. And according to The Telegraph, they have agreed a fee of around £15 million for the Saints star.
Vestergaard’s deal at St Mary’s expires next summer. And according to The Telegraph, he has told his teammates that he is now expecting to move on.

Personal terms are still to be discussed.
Southampton facing having to replace another key player as Vestergaard nears Leicester move
It has been a tough summer for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men. They have lost Danny Ings. Meanwhile, Ryan Bertrand moved to the King Power Stadium earlier in the window.
So losing Vestergaard looks to be a real blow. And a fee of £15 million does not leave them in the best position to find a replacement.
It is a reasonable fee. They could have hardly asked for a lot more given his contract situation.
But he has the ability to be worth a lot more. And Leicester are seemingly hoping that he can kick on from his impressive year for club and country.
