Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side have been preparing for the upcoming season on their tour of Asia last week, which has been detailed by a piece in the Athletic today.
The Reds got off to a rocky start with a 4-0 loss against Manchester United last week. But they ended the tour on a positive note as they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Friday.
Klopp will probably not dwell on the United result too much considering the starting line-up was mainly made up of youngsters. The German has been working to bed in his three new signings, including Darwin Nunez.
The 23-year-old joined Liverpool from Benfica earlier in the window for a fee worth up to £85 million (Sky Sports). And despite not managing to get off the mark in Asia, staff and coaches at the club have been impressed with the Uruguayan.

What Liverpool staff think about Darwin Nunez
According to the Athletic, coaches at Liverpool were impressed with Nunez, particularly his movement and ability to find pockets of space on the pitch.
The report claims that club staff also noticed the striker is capable of getting away from defenders.
Nunez is apparently building a positive relationship with full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson as the pair are looking to use his pace and power in behind opposition backlines.
Nunez has got big boots to fill at Liverpool as he looks like the natural replacement for Sadio Mane in the side.
The Senegalese forward was a pivotal part of Klopp’s success over the past few years and formed brilliant relationships with Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino in particular.

But as Mane made the switch to Bayern Munich this summer, Klopp is now forming a new-look frontline that’ll involve January signing Luis Diaz and of course, Nunez.
Liverpool’s new centre-forward enjoyed a breakthrough year for Benfica last season and bagged 26 goals in the Portuguese league.
Nunez particularly impressed in the Champions League as he managed to score six goals and 10 games. One of them came against Klopp’s team in the knockout stages and he put in two good displays against his new side.
The Uruguayan has clearly got an eye for goal and at just 23 years of age, he has plenty of time to improve his game even further. He may need time to adjust at Anfield but under Klopp’s guidance, he could become a massive player for Liverpool.
