Report: What Josh Kroenke did after Arsenal beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend

Arsenal’s win over Chelsea at the weekend was the latest fantastic result for Mikel Arteta’s side.

They’ve enjoyed their best start to a Premier League campaign, and sit two points above Manchester City.

A report from The Evening Standard has descrbed how Arteta’s team celebrated their win.

Granit Xhaka was revving up the Arsenal fans in the away end before full-time.

It was a brilliant atmosphere after the final whistle, with Arsenal’s players going over to show their appreciation.

Gabriel Magalhaes’ instinctive tap-in decided the game after a wonderful corner from Bukayo Saka.

Martin Keown backed Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to cause Chelsea problems, and they certainly delivered.

The standout performance of the day was from William Saliba, who came away with the man of the match award.

He was described as being ‘too quick and strong’ for Chelsea’s players and bullied their forward.

The report from The Evening Standard described what Josh Kroenke did after Arsenal’s win.

Kroenke was in London to witness Arsenal top their Europa League group against FC Zurich.

He would have been much more pleased with their performance against their London rivals.

What Kroenke did after Arsenal’s win

The Evening Standard suggests that Kroenke greeted the Arsenal squad in the changing room after the match.

The players were understandably over the moon with the result after controlling the majority of the game.

Kroenke wanted to congratulate the squad and had every right to be proud of the team.

The Arsenal director will already be looking towards the January transfer window.

The Gunners will want to capitalise on their fantastic start, and a couple of new additions would do the squad no harm.

Mykhaylo Mudryk has been linked with a move to north London, and recommended by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Kroenke could also green light a move for another midfielder, and Youri Tielemans’ new asking price may tempt Arsenal into a move.

Kroenke’s response after Arsenal’s latest win will be something he hopes he can repeat again this season.

At this rate, he may even have a trophy to celebrate by the end of the campaign.
