Leeds United secured a big win against Chelsea yesterday and fans will love what the Athletic claims Jesse Marsch did in the second-half after seeing Conor Gallagher get tackled.

Marsch’s men put in a dazzling performance at Elland Road yesterday as they thrashed the Blues 3-0.

Leeds outrun Chelsea and pressed them relentlessly throughout the game. And the Whites were rewarded with a statement win.

And a moment in the second-half epitomised what Leeds did all afternoon at Elland Road.

What Marsch did in second-half

The Athletic reports that Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher was hassled by Leeds players into giving them a goal-kick.

The midfielder was on the byline and then dispossessed, which led to a passionate reaction from the Leeds boss.

Marsch turned to the West Stand at Elland Road and celebrated the moment with his first clenched in the air.

The American boss demands high-energy from his players and he clearly loved to see his team chasing everything, even mid-way through the second-half.

And there was also a moment at the end of the game that the Leeds faithful would have loved to see. Marsch was spotted soaking up the atmosphere by the tunnel as the players left the pitch.

He then had to compose himself and report to media duties, but he was clearly blown away by the atmosphere at Elland Road yesterday.

Leeds were excellent throughout the game and caused Chelsea big problems with their high-energy style.

Marsch will be delighted to see his team adjusting to his style of play so quickly. And the new signings at the club look to have settled in already.

Brenden Arronson put in a superb performance yesterday and summed up what Marsch wants from his players as he was ‘everywhere’ in the first-half.

The Whites have now won two out of their opening three games and remain unbeaten in the Premier League so far.
