The Evening Standard reports that Gabriel Jesus paid his Arsenal teammates a visit in the dressing room right after last night’s goalless draw with Newcastle United.

Arsenal have fared pretty well without Jesus so far after the Brazilian suffered knee ligament damage at the World Cup last month.

The Gunners managed to score seven times in two games before last night’s stalemate in north London.

The 26-year-old is expected to be out until at least next month but he is seemingly taking positive steps towards recovering.

What Jesus did with Arsenal teammates after Newcastle clash

Jesus has now ditched his crutches and was spotted walking around the Emirates in a knee brace last night, according to the Evening Standard.

And as he continues his rehab he found the time to visit his teammates in the dressing room after a frustrating draw.

The Brazilian is said to be desperate to get back to full fitness but the Gunners will certainly not rush his recovery process.

Arsenal fans will be delighted to hear that Jesus is making good progress with his recovery and even though Eddie Nketiah has impressed in his absence, Arteta will undoubtedly be desperate for his star striker to return.

The Spaniard was limited in terms of the changes he could make last night and he could have done with better options off the bench to try and break Newcastle down.

Of course, the Gunners are attempting to bolster Arteta’s squad with the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Joao Felix linked with moves to north London.

But in the meantime, Nketiah is proving that he can provide goals for Arsenal and Arteta certainly won’t be panicking off the back of last night’s result.

It’s the first time his side have dropped points at the Emirates this season and it comes as no real surprise that they struggled to break down the Premier League’s best defence, especially without Jesus.
