Arsenal have been told by Bruno Guimaraes that he won’t be considering a move until the end of the Olympics, LanceNet say.
Move made
Arsenal have been looking to sign the Lyon midfielder and are said to have made contact in recent days, as they push to sign him.
The latest update claims that the Gunners have been keeping tabs on him for many years.
However, any deal looks unlikely to happen in the imminent future.
That is because Guimaraes has apparently said to Arsenal that he wants to finish up at the Olympics before considering his own personal future.
Brazil are in the quarter-finals of the competition currently, with the final due to take place on August 7th.

Patiently waiting
That means that Arsenal could face an anxious wait over finding out whether they can land Guimaraes, who is said to be valued at £25 million by FC Inter News.
If they could bring him to the Emirates Stadium the report claims that he would be signed as a replacement for Granit Xhaka.
In terms of their playing style, Guimaraes is far more effective tackler than Xhaka and he could provide a better defensive shield.
The 23-year-old is still a very effective distributer of the football though, which means that Arsenal shouldn’t miss Xhaka’s passing skills too much.
