West Ham are reportedly willing to offer €12 million/£10.8 million for Montpellier star Gaetan Laborde.
According to L’Equipe, the Irons have been keen on the French striker since the summer and are primed to make a move for him in January, but face possible competition from Newcastle United.
Laborde has been having a good season over in France, scoring three goals and making five assists in 12 games in all competitions so far.

But the Covid-19 pandemic has hit Montpellier hard, and the club could be forced into selling their striker.
The 26-year-old is seen as a means of improving the club’s financial position, and West Ham could bid £10.8 million plus bonuses for Laborde.
David Moyes only has two forwards at the moment in Sebastien Haller and Michail Antonio, with the latter not a recognised striker.
TBR’s View – Larborde could be shrewd addition for West Ham
West Ham arguably need another striker in January and versatile Laborde could be a decent signing, although his record of 21 goals in 84 games for Montpellier is nothing too special.

Antonio’s injury record is a little patchy, and Haller could benefit from having someone else in there for competition.
With Laborde, there is the added attraction that he can play on both wings, which would give the manager more options.
