West Ham United are exploring the possibility of taking Real Madrid prospect Mariano Diaz on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 campaign, according to the Daily Mail.
The 27-year-old has found first-team football hard to come by under Zinedine Zidane and could be allowed to leave.
Diaz has featured in just seven matches in all competitions this season, scoring once during a 1-1 draw against Villarreal.

West Ham are in the market for another forward after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax last week.
The departure came out of the blue but the Hammers felt they needed to cash in now; rather than risk his valuation decreasing.
Diaz signed for Los Blancos from Lyon in 2018 for £33 million, just one year after selling him to the French outfit for £7.2 million (BBC).
It is claimed that Diaz is keen on a move to London and West Ham would welcome the chance to take him on loan.
West Ham sit tenth in the Premier League and their decent form could tempt the Spaniard into a switch to the Hammers.
Diaz has fired 11 goals and claimed two assists in 47 appearances for Real Madrid.
He was more prolific in France, firing 21 goals in 48 outings for Lyon during his season in Ligue 1.
TBR View: Diaz could prove decent acquisition for West Ham
David Moyes will want to ensure he replaces Haller and he could do a lot worse than add the £75,000-a-week Diaz.

The all-action performer is energetic, can play as a lone striker or as part of a two and also knows where the net is.
Diaz could be deemed as something of a coup if he checks in at the London Stadium.
West Ham should do whatever it takes to make it happen.
