West Ham United are admirers of Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, according to a report from the Guardian, but it is suggested that it may be too difficult to tempt him away from the Serie A side.
Manuel Pellegrini’s future at the London Stadium appears to have a major question mark hanging over it. The Hammers are languishing just above the relegation zone. And it is difficult to see the Chilean remaining in charge if his side lose to fellow strugglers Southampton at the weekend.

The Guardian notes that David Moyes, Chris Hughton and Eddie Howe are all on West Ham’s radar should Pellegrini be dismissed. But it appears that they have also set their sights on an ambitious move as well.
According to the Guardian, they are interested in Inzaghi. The 43-year-old has arguably done an excellent job at Lazio, delivering two fifth place finishes and winning the Coppa Italia last season. They sit third in Serie A this term.

The Guardian notes that it is unlikely that he would leave the Biancocelesti.
TBR View – Impressive name, but West Ham fans may be sceptical
Disgruntled West Ham fans may argue that there is little reason to give the board credit for targeting Inzaghi.
It would be a major statement if the Hammers did manage to appoint the Italian. But Irons fans would be forgiven for wondering how genuine the interest is. It cannot be too difficult to suggest that you want a marquee name. But it is another thing entirely to get them through the door.
