West Ham are keen to bring Marcus Edwards back to England after some strong form in Portugal with Vitoria, according to TeamTalk.
The flamboyant winger left Tottenham permanently during the summer of 2019 and he’s been busy kick-starting his career.
During the 2019/20 campaign, he bagged nine goals and claimed the same amount of assists for his new club.

This season hasn’t quite been as successful, with just one goal and two assists for the 22-year-old.
Edwards has clearly benefitted from the regular run of first-team football though and the Hammers are keen to pounce.
The rapid winger has a release clause in his contract of £15 million and that could make him an ideal addition for West Ham.
With a hierarchy who aren’t willing to back the club to the tune of multi-million-pound signings, David Moyes knows he will have to remain shrewd.
With that in mind, activating a pretty affordable release clause could see the Hammers get themselves a decent player.
It is thought that West Ham will face competition for Edwards’ signature from Crystal Palace, Southampton and Fulham; with several clubs in the Championship also keen.
TBR View – Edwards seems a nice fit for West Ham
The Hammers have enjoyed some success in recent transfer windows when it comes to signing players with potential.
Jarrod Bowen arrived in January 2020 and is now an established figure in Moyes’ team.

With that in mind, signing Edwards makes an awful lot of sense.
He wouldn’t cost a fortune, would be hungry to prove himself and possesses some real quality.
His age makes him a nice fit for West Ham and he could really thrive in East London.
