A report from German outlet Sport1 suggests that West Ham United are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso. The 27-time France international is in the final year of his Bayern contract and needs to leave. West Ham are touted as a possible option for Tolisso this summer.
Tolisso, 27, joined Bayern four years ago after 160 appearances for Lyon. Things got off to a brilliant start in Germany, before an ACL injury in 2018-19 knocked him off course. He played just four times that season. Since then, he has only managed 52 appearances for Bayern in two seasons.
The ex-Lyon man desperately needs regular game time to rediscover his best form. But intermittent appearances on the fringes at Bayern is not going to help. The report says Bayern do not want to lose him on a free – so they must either offer him a new deal, or sell Tolisso this summer.
With his contract expiring in June 2022, interest in his services is increasing. Juventus are expected to be in the mix, as are West Ham. The Hammers have just brought in a 2018 World Cup winner in Alphonse Areola – and now they could get a second, in Tolisso.

Bayern star Tolisso takes West Ham midfield to a new level
Yes, some will point to his recent form at Bayern and question whether he has the fitness to do Thursday-Sunday, Thursday-Sunday. But as aforementioned, £35million Bayern signing (Guardian) Tolisso needs to feel love in a side where he is first choice. At West Ham, he will get that.
The Frenchman would sit in front of Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice, forming a midfield three that has a bit of everything. The defensive intelligence of Rice, the bulldozer athleticism of Soucek and the goal threat, craft and magician-like ability of Tolisso makes him the perfect signing.
