Czech outlet iSPort have claimed that West Ham United have tabled a £5million offer to sign Slavia Prague winger Lukas Masopust, who played in the Champions League alongside Tomas Soucek last season.
West Ham signed Soucek on loan in January before making his move permanent this summer, after the giant midfielder had impressed for Slavia Prague against the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
Masopust, 27, started all six Champions League group games and even laid on an assists against Barcelona. Last season, he had a hand in 12 goals during his 37 league and cup outings – helping Slavia win the league.
But now he could follow Soucek to east London. The report claims West Ham have tabled an offer of £5million, but it is believed Slavia want a fee in the region of £8million to sign the 11-time Czech Republic international.

TBR’s view – West Ham need additions out wide
Especially with the Evening Standard claiming the Hammers are to offload Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini. Soucek has proved an excellent signing for the Hammers – so why not go back to Slavia Prague a second time.
Though they may not get Masopust for £5million, he will hardly cost much more given Slavia’s asking price is £8million. A compromise could be met and given that is a cheap fee, he is a low-risk addition.
