West Ham defender, Fabian Balbuena, believes he still remain with the Hammers, despite talk of a move to Serie A giants, Lazio.
Balbuena has played an important role in the Hammers’ excellent campaign thus far under David Moyes. His performances have been good when required, and he’s a key part of a stern West Ham defence.

The 29-year-old Paraguay ace has a contract which runs until the summer, thought to be worth in the region of £40k-a-week.
However, despite nothing being agreed yet, Balbuena has told Versus Radio that he believes his future lies in East London for now.
“I never received anything from Lazio, I only read the rumours on social media. Certainly, in the coming days we will sit down with the management to talk about it, West Ham have an option to renew,” Balbuena commented.
Balbuena has appeared 12 times in the Premier League this season. However, he appears to be behind the likes of Ogbonna, Diop, and new signing Craig Dawson in the pecking order.
Whether the Hammers feel there is value in keeping hold of him for his experience, remains to be seen.
TBR View: Balbuena has done well but West Ham may opt to move on here
This is a tricky one for David Moyes to assess and deal with. On one hand, Balbuena has played a role in helping the Hammers to where they are now.
On the other hand, he’s 29 and West Ham have a number of players in his position, as well as some emerging younger talents.
Balbuena may feel he deserves a new deal, though. And in fairness, there probably won’t be too many grumbles if he does pen a new deal.
