West Ham are reportedly interested in Flavius Daniliuc, who plays for French top-flight club Nice.
According to The Daily Mail, West Ham have the Austrian defender on their radar. In addition, Premier League rivals Southampton are also eyeing the Ligue 1 youngster this summer.
The report explains that the 20-year-old may be available this summer because Nice are ready to let him leave. A potential loan or permanent exit has been mooted.
Daniliuc, who’s agency SPORTS360 GMBH is the same as Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, looks like a potential star in the making.
The centre-back played 26 senior games last season in all competitions for Nice after leaving Bayern Munich’s academy.

Flavius Daniliuc can plug West Ham gap
It’s worrying West Ham have not finalised more transfer business at this stage, but there is still time in August to bring in new faces.
Hammers boss David Moyes definitely needs a couple of reinforcements.
A new centre-half that can slot into the XI if needed should be on the list of the priorities. It’s definitely an area in the squad where they look a little light right now.
Daniliuc is relatively unexpected, but a highly rated youngster who turned down a contract at Bayern to chase senior football last year with Nice.
