Report: West Ham regularly watching QPR’s Eberechi Eze

West Ham United are amongst the group of Premier League sides regularly watching Queens Park Rangers talisman Eberechi Eze, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (1/12; page 69).

Eze has established himself as one of the most talented and exciting players outside the Premier League. The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and contributed four goals in the Championship for Mark Warburton’s men this season.

Unsurprisingly, it appears that he is attracting a lot of top flight attention. The Sun on Sunday (1/12; page 69) reports that Mauricio Pochettino was keen to take him to Tottenham Hotspur, while Chelsea and Leicester City are monitoring him.

The report adds that the Hammers are also interested, and are regularly scouting the £20 million-rated sensation.

TBR View – Eze signing could be boost West Ham need

West Ham responded to their critics in brilliant fashion on Saturday. Their 1-0 win at Chelsea appears to have eased some of the pressure on Manuel Pellegrini. And the Irons now find themselves four points clear of the bottom three.

Their situation still feels precarious however. And January could be an incredibly important month for the club, especially if those sides around them are going to strengthen.

Eze has the potential to be a game-changing signing. He already looks to be too good for the Championship and is rapidly approaching double figures for goals from midfield this season.

He is the kind of player who could really capture the imagination at the London Stadium. West Ham may have a lot of attacking quality, but if Pellegrini has his sights set on one major addition in January, perhaps Eze should be the name at the top of the list.
