Report: West Ham put £40million price tag on Marko Arnautovic
West Ham will reportedly want £40million for attacker Marko Arnautovic this summer.
According to the Sun, the Hammers have slapped the hefty £40million price tag on him.
It is understood that the 30-year-old has handed in a transfer request this summer and wants an exit from the London Stadium.
The report explains that West Ham have already rejected a £19.7million bid from a Chinese Super League club for Arnautovic.
They want £40million for his potential sale, but a compromised fee of £30million may be enough.
Arnautovic scored 11 goals in 30 games across all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, but it looks like his heart is set on departing despite signing a new contract back in January.

TBR’S View:
West Ham should cash in on Arnautovic this summer and not allow this saga to continue for too long.
They paid £20million (BBC) for him back in 2017 and making a sizeable profit on him now two years late would represent a decent deal.
He is a versatile attacker that is decent in front of goal and holds the ball up well, but not irreplaceable for the team and Pellegrini should be given a licence to find the right replacement.
The Austria international has had some special individual moments, but this summer looks the right time to get rid.
