West Ham could turn their attentions to Real Sociedad forward, Mikel Oyarzabal, according to a report from Talksport.
Alex Crook, who is Talksport’s transfer guru, claims the Hammers are eyeing up a move for Spanish star Oyarzabal, who is enjoying another fine season over in La Liga.
Oyarzabal has already netted seven times and assisted a further four in just 14 games this season. Those impressive number contribute to an excellent career total, which has seen him involved in 98 goals in just 215 games with the Spanish side. (stats via Transfermarkt)
Hammers boss David Moyes is actively seeking a new attacking player after allowing Sebastien Haller to leave, However, the return of Michail Antonio has been a timely boost and means Moyes is not as desperate as before.
Oyarzabal has carved quite a reputation over in Spain. He won the under-21 European Championships, before going on to be a regular for Sociedad and becoming their main attacking force.
The 23-year-old has 11-caps for his country now, with four goals already.
TBR View: A serious player, Oyarzabal would be quite the signing for West Ham
This would be one major coup if the Hammers can pull it off. Oyarzabal is a brilliant footballer with everything you need in an attacking player in the modern game.
Goals, assists, and an intelligence about his play, there’s little wonder he’s done so well for Spain and Sociedad so far.
If Moyes can pull this one off then the Hammers have a serious player on their hands and someone who can genuinely take them to the next level.
