West Ham United are planning to make a bid for Mohamed Bayo in the January transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (21/11; page 61).
The Hammers look set to strengthen their striker ranks in the winter. Of course, they are heavily reliant on the form and fitness of Michail Antonio.

It would be a huge gamble to let January pass without adding greater firepower to their ranks at the London Stadium.
The good news for fans is the Irons do indeed have their eye on attacking players. It was reported during the week that they are interested in Adam Hlozek at Sparta Prague.

And The Sun on Sunday (21/11; page 61) is now reporting that Bayo is wanted. The report notes that West Ham previously had a £7 million bid for the Clermont forward rejected.
Meanwhile, it is suggested that Southampton, Brighton and Brentford all want the youngster.
Bayo has continued to impress in France. The Guinea international has scored seven times in 12 appearances in his first season in Ligue 1.
It comes after he bagged 22 goals to fire the club to promotion last season. The report claims that his club want £15 million in January.
Bayo another exciting striker target for West Ham
Bayo would be a decent rival for Antonio in the Hammers squad. Like the Jamaica international, strength is a big part of the 23-year-old’s game. He is rarely bullied by defenders.
He does not score enough goals with his head. In fact, only two of his goals in his club career have come from his head.
But if there is one area of the game where West Ham probably do not need to be stronger, it is in the air.
So Bayo could definitely work on that part of his game if he did make a move.
For £15 million, a deal could definitely prove to be worth the gamble for Moyes’s men.
