West Ham have reportedly opened talks with RB Salzburg for right-back Rasmus Kristensen. The Independent has claimed that the Hammers are considering a move for his signature as they continue their search for a new right-back before Friday’s deadline
The 22-year-old has made 17 appearances for the Austrian side this season, including six in the Champions League. He has one assist and is part of a team that is currently top of the Austrian Bundesliga. Previously of Ajax, Kristensen only joined Salzburg last summer but could be on the move once again.

The Hammers, meanwhile, are on the lookout for a new right-back. Ryan Fredericks remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, and Pablo Zabaleta is not getting any younger. David Moyes’ team are conceding too many goals and seriously need some reinforcements.
Sky Sports have reported that the club has also made an offer of £12 million for Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash. The defender has impressed for the promotion-chasing side this season and has also been linked with AC Milan and Southampton.
TBR view – Kristensen would be a top signing for the Hammers

West Ham have made just one signing so far this window in the form of goalkeeper Darren Randolph. They will be keen to get more done before Friday’s deadline to strengthen their chances of staying in the Premier League next season.
The club is currently sat level on points with two of the three teams languishing in the relegation spots. Signing a player like Kristensen, who has European pedigree, could massively help strengthen their backline as we approach the business end of the season.
