West Ham United are thought to be mulling over a deal to bring Bournemouth’s Josh King to the club, with the Cherries said to be asking for around £17.5m for their man.
That is according to The Guardian, who claim that the Hammers are yet to decide whether to pursue a move for King, with the powers that be in east London believing a smaller fee would be more suitable.

It comes as King is expected to leave Bournemouth before the end of the EFL window in a weeks time. The Norwegian international has just under a year left on his current deal, but the Cherries are sticking firm on their asking-price.
West Ham, meanwhile, are looking for a figure closer to the £10m mark, according to the Telegraph.

If there is a stand-off between the clubs then we could well see the move go all the way to the deadline once again. King, who has attracted admiring glances from the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle, is thought to be keen on a move back to the top-flight if he can get it.
Hammers do right here, £17.5m is a lot of money for King – TBR View
West Ham have had some criticism in the past for the way they do their transfer business but this is, for once, looking like a smart move.
They shouldn’t pay over the odds, especially when they can get King for nothing next summer. In addition, they’ve also started the season well, scoring plenty of goals in the process.
King is a good player, of course. But at £17.5m, Bournemouth might be pricing him out of a move.
