West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere could be out for up to another month, as he struggles to recover from a pelvic injury.
According to The Daily Mail, the 28-year-old had planned to be back in full training by now, but is still feeling pain.
He is anxious not to aggravate the injury and will not be rushing back into the picture.
The 2018 signing has been out of action since October with the issue, and his latest setback is bound to frustrate supporters who have seen him play just 16 games for the first-team since his arrival.
Wilshere came to the London Stadium on a free transfer after running down his contract at Arsenal.
His signing was seen as a real coup, but so far it has not worked out at all for the fragile star.
TBR’s view – Wilshere a disastrous signing
The fears some West Ham fans had about the club signing Wilshere are being realised.
The 34-cap England international is an undeniable talent, but his horrible injury record was always going to make him a big risk.
The club went ahead and offered him £100,000-a-week, which has turned out to be a silly move.
The Hammers are going to have to try and strengthen in January, with the load far bigger than it needs to be on Mark Noble and Declan Rice.
