Swedish outlet Aftonbladet has claimed that West Ham United are looking to secure a £6million bargain in the form of FC Rostov defender Dennis Hadzikadunic this summer, as David Moyes continues to look for a centre-back.
Hadzikadunic, 22, is in his third season at Russian side FC Rostov after joining the club from Swedish side Malmo. He has been in and out of the Rostov side up until the back end of last season, and then the beginning of this term he has been first choice.
A seven-time Sweden Under-21 international, Hadzikadunic’s impressive performances have caught the eye of David Moyes – who continues to be linked with a move for Burnley’s James Tarkowski. St. Etienne’s Wesley Fofana has emerged as an option.
Hadzikadunic has now emerged as a low-cost option, with Rostov rating the Swede at a bargain £6million – though the Hammers may look to sign the centre-back in a different transfer window, rather than the current summer market.

TBR’s view – Hadzikadunic needs to continue first-team run
The reasons for West Ham going against a possible signing this summer is likely to be Hadzikadunic’s lack of first-team experience. Just 38 outings for Rostov and five for Malmo is clearly not much.
West Ham may be waiting for the defender to get a few more games under his belt, and prove that early potential is not just a run of form – but permanent class. Perhaps next summer, we could see West Ham look to sign the Swedish ace.
