West Ham are reportedly interested in a move for attacker Dario Benedetto from Argentinian top-flight club Boca Juniors.
According to TEAMtalk, the Hammers are lining up a summer offer for the 28-year-old and are prepared to see an overhaul in the forward department.
It is understood that Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been approached about Benedetto and been made aware that he could be available to sign.
The report details that Inter Milan and Roma have monitored the five-time capped Argentina international, who is now set to make a move to Europe.
Boca Juniors are set to lose the centre-forward for under £20million amid interest in him.

TBR’s View:
Some special talents have come to European football from South America before, but there is always an element of risk with any deal.
Benedetto is an experienced striker that has made a name for himself in his homeland and also ventured out to the Mexican league.
The striker has an impressive 38 goals in just 61 appearances for Boca Juniors, which is why the Hammers interest makes sense.
West Ham do already have Argentinians Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Zabaleta in their squad right now, who could perhaps play a role in any deal
It’s clear that Pellegrini’s side need more firepower at striker if they are to break into European football next season, but they could surely find a more proven attacker than Benedetto.
