According to a report from Eurosport, West Ham could make a move to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer.
The Hammers are said to be monitoring the situation of Toney, who has scored 22 goals this season for the Bees. The striker has seen his reputation sky-rocket since his move to Brentford, with the likes of Celtic also taking a keen eye.

However, it is West Ham who apparently believe they stand a chance of landing Toney. Eurosport claims that the loan deal to send Winston Reid to the Bees is aimed at strengthening relations between the clubs.
Indeed, the Hammers already signed Said Benrahma from the Championship side, so both clubs know each other well in that sense.

David Moyes resisted the temptation to sign a striker, despite selling Sebastien Haller in the January window. But the Hammers boss will be aware of the need for summer recruitment, and Toney might well fit the bill perfectly.
TBR View: West Ham want Toney, but there’s bound to be an almighty scramble
Once again it looks like Brentford are going to make big profit on a player who cost them little but is doing so well.
Toney looks the real deal as well. He’s quick, powerful, and he can finish with aplomb. In terms of the modern day striker, Toney pretty much has everything in his locker.
The Premier League beckons for Toney one way or another. Thomas Frank has previously praised his man, claiming Toney’s ‘inner drive and determination can see him reach the highest level’.
