West Ham are amongst the Premier League sides interested in signing Cameron Carter-Vickers as he continues to impress away from Tottenham Hotspur on loan, according to a report from TEAMtalk.

Carter-Vickers had had a mixed time during his six loan spells in the Championship. Certainly, it appeared that he had missed the opportunity to force his way into the Tottenham fold.

He joined Celtic in the summer. And in truth, it looked to be a move that would put him in the shop window ahead of a potential permanent exit from North London.

A summer move still looks likely. However, Carter-Vickers’ form is seemingly catching the eye of some of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals.

Unsurprisingly, Celtic hope to sign him permanently. But TEAMtalk reports that West Ham also want Carter-Vickers. Leicester City, Wolves, Watford and Burnley are also admirers of the USMNT star.

Could Tottenham yet decide to keep Carter-Vickers amid West Ham interest?

It would be no surprise to see Spurs sell Carter-Vickers in the summer. The 24-year-old could well hand their transfer kitty a decent boost. Previous reports claimed that Celtic were told ahead of the January transfer window that he would cost £10 million.

He is unproven in the Premier League. And in truth, it does appear that Tottenham will hope to set their sights on bigger names in the transfer market.

However, he is yet to have a chance to work with Antonio Conte. So it will be interesting to see if the Italian does want to have a final look at Carter-Vickers in the summer before sanctioning a potential West Ham move.

It may not be the best look from Tottenham should they sell to a Premier League rival and he steps up. Carter-Vickers has shown some of his ‘excellent‘ potential at Parkhead.

So perhaps Spurs should avoid making a rash decision with several sides eyeing Carter-Vickers.
