West Ham United have supposedly joined the race to sign Turkish goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
According to Aksam, the Hammers are intrigued as to the availability of the Trabzonspor stopper, whose stock has been steadily rising over the past couple of years.
The 23-year-old – who became a senior Turkey international back in May of this year – really stood out in 2018/19, and has been busy once again between the sticks this term for Trabzonspor.

His form has previously led to interest from Liverpool, but now it’s West Ham who have come sniffing having had some issues in the goalkeeping department of late.
With Lukasz Fabianski out injured, Manuel Pellegrini initially turned to Roberto, who has been calamitous since signing in the summer.
David Martin has seemingly now replaced the Spaniard as Fabianski’s deputy, having played the last two games.
TBR’s view – Cakir a solid future investment
West Ham would be onto a winner with Cakir, who has supposedly been valued at £18 million by his club according to his agent Engin Kirkpinar (Turkish-Football).

Roberto should be moved on at the earliest opportunity, which would leave Fabianski and David Martin.
Although the Poland international has shown fine form since signing for the club, realistically he doesn’t have too many years left at the top level.
Aged just 23, Cakir would represent a signing for the future, and he’d break what has been a tradition for West Ham in recent years of having older goalkeepers.
