West Ham United have been credited with an interest in Manchester United full-back Ashley Young.
According to ESPN, the Hammers are ready to offer the veteran a fresh start away from Old Trafford, with the player’s contract expiring this summer.
Young was reportedly recently offered a one-year extension by the Red Devils in a bid to fend off interest from Inter Milan, which he turned down (Sky Sports).

Inter are still thought to be his likeliest destination, with Alexis Sanchez and ex-United striker Romelu Lukaku both playing their football at San Siro.
As well as West Ham, Young’s old club Watford are also mentioned, as are Crystal Palace.
His chances of staying on for another season at United appear extremely slim, with youngster Brandon Williams having emerged as competition for Luke Shaw.
TBR’s view – West Ham could do better
Obviously David Moyes and Young have worked together previously, which perhaps explains the link, but surely the Hammers could be doing better.

Young is versatile and experienced, but he simply isn’t the same player these days.
Pablo Zabaleta has struggled since his arrival from Manchester City and the same could happen with Young.
Fans surely won’t want another older player on huge wages (£120,000-a-week, Spotrac) whose best days are past them.
