West Ham are reportedly one of several clubs interested in trying to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Premier League and Champions League club Manchester City.
According to football publication 90min, the 24-year-old is available to sign in the January transfer window, as Man City are willing to listen to transfer offers for him.
It is explained that West Ham, Southampton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City are all keen on a potential swoop for the Ukraine international.
The report adds that there is also interest from teams in Russia, Italy, Spain and Germany.
Despite joining Man City as a midfielder back in 2016, Zinchenko has spent most of his career at the Etihad Stadium deployed in a left-back position and he’s played 73 games for the club.
He’s featured in four of the Champions League group stage matches so far this season, but is quite far down the pecking order under manager Pep Guardiola and has been given just one appearance in the Premier League this term.

TBR’s View:
It’s a surprise that Zinchenko only turned 24 three days ago, as it seems like he’s been around for a while and has been a part of Man City’s group as a squad player in recent years.
A transfer away makes perfect sense in the New Year though for him and he could make a great signing for most teams in the English top-flight.
He is a left-footed talent that has shown he can slot in well to a full-back position, plus he’s effective as a central midfielder with his composure in possession and his high work-rate.
Zinchenko certainly looks like a player that could compete for a couple of positions at West Ham if they decide to ramp up interest in him and perhaps the London Stadium could be a place where he unlocks his full potential.
