Report: West Ham interested in Celtic defender Josip Juranovic

West Ham are interested in Celtic defender Josip Juranovic, but 90min reports that he would only come in if the Hammers manage to offload Vladimir Coufal first.

Coufal is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen. He has been a cult-hero during his time at the London Stadium. However, he has only featured in two of their last eight Premier League games. The Czech Republic international has been left on the bench for the remaining six games.

And it seems that he could be on the move in the coming months.

West Ham interested in Juranovic

90min reports that West Ham will look to sign a replacement should Coufal move on. And one player they have their eye on is Juranovic.

Juranovic has been an impressive signing for the Hoops, being directly involved in nine goals in 50 games from right-back.

He is wanted by a number of Premier League heavyweights. 90min previously reported that Chelsea and Manchester United are admirers of the Croatia international.

That report noted that Celtic would want more than £15 million for the 27-year-old. So he will not come cheap if West Ham decide to make a move.

But Juranovic has the ability to justify that sort of fee. He is a good defender. But he also has that piece of quality up his sleeve. He was lauded for taking a ‘sensational‘ Panenka penalty against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League.

It says a lot that a raft of Premier League sides now want Juranovic. And in fairness, plenty of Celtic players have gone to attract a lot of interest after not exactly being a household name before their move to Parkhead.

So it will be very interesting to see what happens should Coufal end up leaving West Ham in the coming weeks.
