West Ham are reportedly one of several teams that are interested in forward Fedor Chalov from Russian club CSKA Moscow.

According to the Mirror in its print edition (Page 47, 18 March 2020), the Hammers have made an enquiry about the striker.

It is understood that there has also been contact from Brighton and Chelsea for the 21-year-old Russian.

The report adds that Crystal Palace could start a bidding war for him in the next transfer window and that they previously failed with a £14million bid for him in last summer’s transfer window.

Chalov is a highly-rated young attacker that managed 17 goals in all competitions last season for CSKA Moscow and that attracted interest from Palace.

He’s managed six goals and six assists in 31 games across all competitions so far this campaign for them.

TBR’s View:

Chalov is an exciting young forward that is a decent finisher with both feet and strong in the air, plus he’s got a decent turn of pace too to threaten defenders.

His goal return may have dried up slightly this campaign, but he’s an intriguing target for West Ham and he could be a decent signing at the London Stadium for next season.

David Moyes’ side currently have ammunition in attack with the likes of Sebastien Haller and Michail Antonio, but could certainly do with some more depth in that area of the pitch.
