West Ham are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Kostas Fortounis from Olympiakos.
According to the Sun, the Hammers have held talks with the Greek club about the 26-year-old.
It is understood that West Ham are targeting a £16million swoop for the playmaker this summer and it’s believed he’s in their price range.
The report also details that sporting director Mario Husillos highly recommends the player, as the pair were both at Olympiakos at the same time.
Fortounis has just enjoyed a brilliant campaign at club level, scoring 17 goals and supplying 16 assists in return.
He’s an attacking midfielder that has ripped it up in the Greek top flight and also looked a serious threat in the Europa League.
The 42-time capped Greece international has spent most of his career so far in his homeland, but did previously have a spell in Germany.

TBR’s View:
Fortounis is an exciting prospect that is coming to the peak years of his career and a step up to the Premier League would make sense.
There is no guarantee that he could enjoy the same success in English football, but he’s a serious goal threat that has proven himself to be a decent finisher and he does have experience.
His £16million price tag would be a slight gamble, but perhaps one worth taking and he would be a success if he can score half the goals he has this season.
Manuel Pellegrini does need more reinforcements in midfield going into next year and the Olympiakos ace would help strengthen the options in the squad.
