The Athletic have claimed that West Ham United have seen an offer worth £27million rejected for Sevilla attacker Youssef En-Nesyri – just 12 months after Sevilla spent £18million to sign him from Leganes.
En-Nesyri, 23, has been in excellent form for Juliam Lopetegui’s side this season – scoring 12 goals in 25 league and cup appearances. Four of those goals came in his six Champions League group stage appearances.
The 35-time Morocco international netted a hat-trick against David Moyes’ former side Real Sociedad earlier this month. He has four and a half years remaining on his contract having signed a deal until the summer of 2025.
West Ham need a striker having sold Sebastian Haller to Ajax for a fee slightly north of £20million. En-Nesyri can play out wide as well as up front, but it is unlikely that Sevilla will want to sell their African star this month.

TBR’s view – En-Nesyri would be the ideal West Ham addition
If the Hammers can get him. Powerful, quick, goals and assists. West Ham have an identity under David Moyes and the way they play needs a big, powerful centre-forward with the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals close.
Michail Antonio is providing that striker fit to a tee. So, West Ham need a player that can mirror Antonio and En-Nesyri would be ideal for the East London side – given his similarities to the uncapped Englishman.
Had the Hammers agreed a £27million fee, he would have been the club’s third most-expensive signing behind Haller and Felipe Anderson.
